About the event

DAV Chapter's 3 and 33 in cooperation with DAVA of NM invites all veterans and their families from across the Albuquerque Metropolitan Area to an important seminar on Death Benefits for Veterans and Their Dependents.

Details:

📅 Saturday, January 17, 2026 – 2:00 PM

📍 1100 Louisiana Blvd SE #5009, Albuquerque, NM 87108, USA

The seminar will feature presentations from the Albuquerque VA Office of Decedent Affairs, Strong-Thorne Funeral Home and the DAV National Service Office. Each will provide critical information to help ensure your loved ones are prepared when the time comes.

Planning for death is never easy, but it is essential. Taking steps now spares your family confusion, financial stress, and emotional hardship in their most difficult moments. This briefing will cover VA filings, funeral planning, financial readiness, and available support services—empowering dependents to carry out a veteran’s final wishes with confidence.
